Commercial Strategy & Marketing Manager

Our client is a global, research-driven pharmaceutical company focusing on the development of prescription-only-medicines, and they are a global market-leader within their therapeutic area. The company headquarter is in Greater Copenhagen, Denmark with subsidiaries, production facilities and distributors worldwide.
The position will take on a key role in the development and commercialization of the current and next generation of adrenaline autoinjectors. Moreover, the position will also play a vital role in the commercialization of a new class of immunotherapies. Our client already boasts a strong reputation within immunotherapy, and this role offers a unique opportunity to capitalize on these capabilities while introducing a new therapy area and next generation products to the global markets.
Position title: Commercial Strategy & Marketing Manager.
Reporting line: Business Area Director.
Reporting to the position: Europe (Denmark or another affiliate location).
Location: Limited travel to the US can be expected in some periods, however not extensive and these can be planned well in advance.

Responsibilities & Tasks:
  • Driving/contributing to commercial strategy deliverables for key brand projects, e.g., workstreams on commercialization strategies, market segmentation, business case assumptions/building, market entry models, etc. with subject matter expert insights from rest of team.
  • Driving key brand marketing projects and initiatives in accordance to overall global brand strategy.
  • Establishing and driving structured adrenaline competitor monitoring in EU, US and RoW.
  • Supporting market-specific requests.
  • Driving cross-market initiatives.
  • Taking project management lead on all relevant strategic- and tactical 
marketing activities in close cooperation with internal stakeholders and external parties.
  • Close collaboration with internal HQ/affiliate stakeholders (Global Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, US and other key markets).
Key success criteria:
  • Successfully developing and leading the commercial strategy projects for key branded projects, in close collaboration with particularly colleagues in Global Marketing, R&D and affiliates.
  • Successfully driving marketing projects and activities for a key brand.
  • Achieving cross-functional and organizational buy-in on commercialization strategy and tactical marketing plans through seamless collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Achieving high-level market knowledge and best practice sharing within the designated product/therapy areas.
  • Successfully contributing to driving a high-performance culture – based on a proactive and pragmatic mindset that is focused on adding value in the collaboration with key stakeholders.
Educational background: Preferably M.Sc.-degree within Economics & Business Administration or similar.
Language: English – fluent (verbally and written).
Ideal experience:
  • 3+ years local and/or global experience with commercial focus, e.g., within consultancy or marketeer role.
  • Preferably experience within adrenaline or other prescription medicines and/or emergency medicines or -devices
  • Well-versed in running high-profile strategic commercially focused projects
  • Preferably experienced with driving marketing projects and initiatives (including operational execution tasks)
  • Demonstrated commercial analytical skills
  • Well-versed within:
    • Market entry strategies and models
    • Market segmentation
    • Business cases
  • Demonstrated strong quantitative skills (not expert level).
  • Preferably experience with cross-market initiatives.
  • Preferably digital marketing capabilities and/or digital insights.
  • Preferably experience of drug development
  • Strong understanding commercialization processes.
