THE POSITION
Our client is looking to bring on board a new CFO to manage the company’s finances, accounting, financial risk management, and financial reporting. The role will head up a multi-functional finance function in a late clinical-stage biotechnology setting, acting as a strategic partner to the CEO and Group Management while working closely with investors.
 
POSITION PROFILE
Position title: CFO.
   
Reporting line: CEO.
   
Ideal experience:
  • Prior experience with heading up a multi-functional finance function in a biotechnology/biopharma setting.
  • Well-versed in the subject matter of accounting, financial risk management, financing, financial reporting (e.g. interim and annual reporting processes/reports), tax, controlling, FP&A, treasury and investor relations.
  • IFRS and GAAP experience.
  • ​​​Experience either working in an IPO setting and/or having led preparations for an IPO or SPAC transaction.
  • Preferably experience with in- and out-licensing, and/or M&A in a life sciences setting.
  • Experience with leading high-performance teams.
  • Broad experience with raising capital in a Life Sciences or like setting
  • Broad experience in collaborating with investor and banker contacts.
